Guinea Pigs Looking for a Good Home
Please visit our adoption center
Rabbit Meadows Adoption Center is a non-profit animal welfare organization
dedicated to:
- The rehoming of guinea pigs who have lost their home, through no fault of their own.
- The education of
persons interested in sharing their homes with guinea pigs.
We accept rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice, gerbils, hamsters, chinchillas from local animal shelters as space permits.
(Only if a shelter does not have guinea pigs needing our help will we consider taking in your guinea pig, and only if you help to pay for their spay/neuter by donating $85 for each surrender.)
We spay and neuter our guinea pigs prior to adoption. This is done to prevent hormonal cancers which could result in early
deaths. This also allows these guinea pigs to live humanely with their own species and with your family.
If you are looking for a friend for your own guinea pig s/he must first be altered. We place guinea pigs either as a friend for your guinea pig or as pairs. Guinea Pigs are herd animals, and should not live alone.
We only do adoptions within the Seattle and Puget Sound area & we do not do same day adoptions. If interested in a particular animal, you must come in to our Kenmore shelter to meet one another.
Adoption fee: $55/single or $100/bonded pair
